Congress-NC alliance unveils promises for Jammu and Kashmir

Kharge made 5 big promises for the Congress-NC alliance during the worst phase of COVID 19, moving a rally at Anantnag on Wednesday, which included a training program of ₹25 lakh health insurance for each family in JK.

Citing continuity, Kharge further said the alliance would continue with its undertakings to rehabilitate the migrants of Kashmiri pandits, which Manmohan Singh had already declared. “We will fulfill the pledge of the resettlement of the migrated Kashmiri Pandit brothers and sisters,” he said, stressing the requirements to be met in order to address the problems of the displaced population.

Besides providing Universal Health Coverage, the Kharge also outlined a scheme of ₹ 3,000 per month for women heads of families and an interest-free ₹ 5 lakh for women to boost economic support in the area.

Being part of the Congress, Kharge addressed the media, with National Conference president Farooq Abdullah and other Congress leaders declaring bogus employment by the BJP. As to the BJP’s encouragement of investments and its claim to create five lakh jobs in Jammu and Kashmir, Raj claimed these to be empty jests or ‘jumla’.

“They said they would create 2 crore jobs across the country, but here we are, ten years later, and those jobs are unavailable. ”

As the people of the union territory prepare for voting in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections scheduled for September 18, September 25, and October 1, with results on October 8, Kharge urged the public to vote for the Congress-NC alliance, claiming that the two parties have been the faithful supporters of the people since Independence.
