Controversy erupts over IAS trainee Puja Khedkar’s mother’s pistol incident

A bitter moment has fallen into the OU campus from the civil servant trainee’s home in Pune – Mulshi district reportedly is the mother of the IAS trainee Puja Khedkar, who threatened a farmer with a pistol in hand on camera. All this has only aggravated the existing debate regarding Puja Khedkar’s behaviour as a probationary civil servant.

The row shown in the video shared on social sites shows Manorama Khedkar arguing with a farmer in their village. It was stated that the Khedkar family had purchased 25 acres of land in the Mulshi taluka, and the accused were trying to seize the neighbouring farmer’s land.

On the same, Manorama Khedkar allegedly landed on the farm with a gang of bodyguards and pointed a gun at the farmer while saying threatening words to them.

The police have lodged an FIR against Manorama Khedkar for threatening to kill Kishore. Still, this incident can be problematic for her daughter, Puja Khedkar, who is currently under suspicion of ‘abuse of office’ when she served as a probationary civil servant.

The Centre has also established a single-member committee to endorse Khedkar’s claim for her selection in the IAS, among other details.

Netizens, who continued to grow passive-aggressive towards Puja Khedkar, have not spared the Khedkar family, calling them dishonest and involved in illicit behaviour.

Continued investigation of Puja Khedkar’s case, the video of her mother brandishing a pistol, has drawn only more unwanted attention to the situation. The autographs will now have to respond to this new situation and guarantee the adequate and non-biased evaluation of the Khedkar family’s actions.
