Cyclone Fengal causes severe flooding in Tamil Nadu and puducherry

The remnants of Cyclone Fengal continue to unleash heavy rainfall and flooding across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, even after the cyclone has weakened. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for at least 15 districts in Tamil Nadu, warning of potential heavy downpours. Sadly, at least 10 lives have been lost due to rain-related incidents in both regions.

Rescue operations are in full swing, with the Indian Army assisting in evacuating stranded residents from inundated areas. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached out to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, promising all possible assistance to address the flooding and damage caused by the cyclone.
