Delhi HC refuses to order full reopening of Singha border

It closed its borders and began a march to Delhi on February 13, demanding legal guarantees of minimum support prices for crops from Punjab farmers.

On Monday, the Delhi high court refused to entertain a plea for the complete removal of the blockade at the Singhu border connecting Haryana with Delhi, stressing that the police had decided to open the border partially based on actionable intelligence information.

On February 13, the border was sealed off as farmers from Punjab began their march to Delhi to demand a legal guarantee for the crop’s minimum support price. The border remained partially open for vehicle movement as the farmers postponed their march.
