Delhi man charged for recording UPSC aspirant with spy cams

Delhi police are reported to have arrested a 30-year-old man on charges of spying on his tenant with the help of cameras that he fitted in her bedroom and bathroom when she had gone to her hometown.

Three spy cameras and two laptops have been recovered from the accused, who has been identified as Karan.

According to sources, the victim was a UPSC aspirant who used to give the keys to the house to her landlord whenever she returned to her hometown.

The incident came to light when the accused started pressuring the victim to give him entry into the house on the pretext of electric repair so that he could extract data from the spy cameras. The cameras were not connected to a network, and data was stored in a memory card.

With the landlord being so rigid, the victim started suspecting and inquired about her house, where she found that a camera had been installed in her bulb holder.

Finding cameras installed in her house, the victim complained to the police, which launched an inquiry into the matter.
