A case of brutality was reported on Saturday at Sri Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, affiliated with Delhi University, days ahead of the DUSU elections scheduled for September 27.
The much-claimed video of the incident shows that a red-turbaned student had been dragged, kicked, and thrashed, and his turban fell out in the scuffle.

New Delhi: A Sikh student was beaten and his turban forcibly removed by some students after a clash with another group at a college in Delhi that triggered criticism as the video went viral on social media.
A clash took place at Sri Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, affiliated with Delhi University, on Saturday, days ahead of the scheduled DUSU elections on September 27.
The supposed video of the incident reveals a red-turbaned student being dragged, kicked, and assaulted till his turban fell to the ground during the fight.
Police said an FIR has been registered under relevant Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections at Maurice Nagar police station. Pavit Singh Gujral, who is a second-year student, was attacked during the nomination process for DUSU elections, according to police
“They removed my turban forcefully, beat me, and pulled my kesh. The group attacked me, and I didn’t feel safe in the college. I feel my life is being threatened,” Singh said in the FIR.
A senior police officer said teams are being formed to nab the accused. Meanwhile, the college has yet to state this matter.
