ED raids 5 cities over fake ticket sales for concerts

During the search operations, several incriminating materials, such as Mobile phones, laptops, SIM cards, etc., used for running such scams, were recovered and seized.

The ED’s searches and Investigations have unearthed information regarding multiple individuals known to provide such tickets, including fake tickets, through social media using Instagram, WhatsApp, and Telegram,” the ED said in a statement.

It added several “incriminating” materials, such as mobile phones, laptops, SIM cards, etc., used in the ticket sales “scam,” were seized.
The searches aimed at investigating illegal sales of tickets, financial networks supporting these scams, and tracing the proceeds of crime generated from such illicit activities, it said.

Meanwhile, all eyes are on the national capital as actor-musician Diljit Dosanjh brings a “Dil-Luminati India Tour 2024” to Delhi with back-to-back shows this weekend at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

The concerts scheduled for Saturday and Sunday have proved to be one of the most anticipated musical events of the year. The cause for this was the singer returning to India after his great success in North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

Gates open by 5:30, and Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, with an over 60,000-seat capacity, will be teeming with excited fans for the magic this one of the favorite stars from India has to give out.

Delhi, as such, is being doubly lucky since it would see not one but two concerts.

The first show sells out within minutes, and a second date has been added. It’s selling out fast, and lounge tickets are available between Rs 32,000 and Rs 60,000.
