ED seizes luxury cars, FDs in Orris Group ₹500 crore fraud case

The four luxury cars recovered from one of the directors and promoters of Orris group’s house were Mercedes, Porsche, and BMW models.

According to PTI, in the case of an alleged fraud of over ₹500 crore into the real estate business, ED also recovered several documents from the office premises of Orris Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, besides luxury cars, Fixed Deposits (FDs) and Bank Guarantees (BGs) amounting to ₹31.22 crore.

The FDs and BGs, totalling ₹31.22 crore, were in the name of the Orris group of companies and have now been seized and frozen, the anti-corruption agency announced on Tuesday.

The bank accounts and lockers of the company’s promoters have also been frozen, and four luxury cars—Mercedes, Porsche, and BMW models—were seized from the residence of one of the Orris group’s directors and promoters.

These assets were impounded during a search operation conducted on November 25 at 14 locations across Delhi-NCR under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.

The search was conducted against Orris Infrastructure Private Limited and its directors and promoters, Vijay Gupta and Amit Gupta, Three C Shelters Private Limited and its promoters and directors, Nirmal Singh Uppal and Vidhur Bhardwaj.
