While ED is opposed to the bail given to Aam Aadmi Party’s leader and chief minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, during the ongoing elections of Lok Sabha. ED told courts that voting for elections was not a basic right guaranteed under the Fundamental Laws or protected by any statutes.
The major investigative office states that it is unprecedented in Indian jurisdiction for anybody outside election candidates to be granted interim bail during electioneering. This time, a fresh affidavit by the ED mentioned that election campaigns are not protected under any fundamental law or constitutional rights.

Now, the Supreme Court is in the process of revisiting the requests of the two opposing sides, deciding after which of them a favorable verdict will be handed.
