Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s proclamation that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) will eventually be a part of India has triggered retaliation from Jammu and Kashmir (JK) National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah.
Abdullah advised that India should not overestimate Pakistan’s strength since the country is capable of nuclear testing, and the atom bombs they have can eventually bring calamities to India. He remarked that if the defense minister, however, goes further with the merger, then definitely, as the other side, Pakistan is well-armed with nuclear weapons considerations.
Previously, Rajnath Singh had said that people would choose to join Pakistan because Indian development and prosperity are superior to Pakistan’s and other countries. Singh, speaking to the crowd at a rally in Darjeeling, affirmed that PoK will belong to India even in 10 years.
India’s foreign minister, S Jaishankar, was wholly in tune with the statement and reiterated that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is an intricate part of India. He underlined that a resolution passed by the Indian Parliament expressing the same stand had been formulated.
Potential about PoK, which had been maintained under wraps previously, is called to the forefront of Indian consciousness again. He specified the inability to control PoK and other regions in his speech thanks to the irresponsible fulfillment of the nation’s obligations that enabled other countries to assume control over it.
