Fire breaks out at Tata Electronics’ chemical godown in Hosur.

In the developing situation, fire tenders rushed to Tata Electronics Pvt Ltd in Hosur and surrounding areas within the limit of seven. After hours of fighting, the firefighters brought the situation under control.

A fire broke out in the Tata Electronics Pvt Ltd factory at Hosur in Tamil Nadu yesterday. A report quoted police sources as saying that the incident occurred around 6 AM yesterday, and fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported.

Seven fire tenders from Hosur and the adjacent districts rushed to the spot to douse the flames, and the firefighters struggled for hours to bring the situation under control.

A senior official from the Hosur Fire Station confirmed that the fire was controlled without damaging people.

“The incident happened inside the campus at a chemical godown at about 6 am. Seven fire tenders were deployed. There have been no casualties or injuries to anybody so far,” a senior fire and rescue service official from Hosur Fire Station said.

Tata Electronics Pvt Ltd, a greenfield venture of the Tata Group in precision component manufacturing, said all its employees had been safely evacuated from the scene today.

An unfortunate fire incident occurred at our Hosur, Tamil Nadu plant. The emergency protocols were followed, and all employees were safe. The cause of the fire is being investigated, and necessary steps will be taken to protect the interests of the employees and other stakeholders.
