Former Rajya Sabha MP denies BJP connection, focuses on development in Kashmir

The Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), Ghulam Nabi Azad, serving as the former MP in Rajya Sabha and the party’s founder, strongly refuted the line of thought that they act like the BJP’s ‘B’ party. The main point that Azad clears up is the fact that DPAP will remain free from any outside influence and operate completely independently.

The Assembly Member of Anantnag constituency participated in a roadshow in Nowgam, Bulbul Anantnag, and blamed of regional parties of Kashmir for misleading innocent citizens through wrong slogans. He advised them rather prioritize development and infrastructure in their agenda.

Azad urged resolving developmental deficits in the Kashmir region. Accountability for the main political bodies was one of his key points. He put an emphasis on being unfaithful to agreements and the inability to deal with major problems like unfinished infrastructure projects.

Azad asked why there was little sign of concrete improvements in healthcare, education, and transport in Kashmir even though people were devoting their lives to battling the occupation regime

Instilling in him a sense of belief that development and peace are supremely important, Azad pledged that he would endeavor to create more educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and transportation networks in Jammu and Kashmir.

Azad was also adamant about the evidence that Congress leaders did not voice their opinions about a variety of important matters, such as the Article 370 revocation, the triple talaq, lynching, and the introduction of NRC (The National Register of Citizens).

Azad’s remarks addressed the issue to the people, engendering calls to adopt a holistic development scheme and to recognize political leaders’ responsibility in realizing these projects in Kashmir.
