4 injured in firing at Puja pandal in Bihar’s Arrah.

Four men suffered injuries after unidentified assailants opened fire at a Durga Puja pandal in Bihar’s Arrah in the early hours of Sunday.

The victims – Arman Ansari (19), Sunil Kumar Yadav (26), Roshan Kumar (25) and Sipahi Kumar – were attending the puja celebrations when the incident occurred.

As per eyewitnesses, two motorbike-borne assailants fired indiscriminately at the pandal and fled. Two bullet casings were recovered from the spot.

The injured were rushed to a private hospital where Dr Vikash Singh supervised their treatment. While two underwent surgery for abdominal gunshot wounds, all four are currently stable, he said.

Arman suffered a back injury, Sunil was hit on the left hand, Roshan below the right knee, and Sipahi on the waist.

The motive behind the attack remains unknown as police conduct raids to nab the culprits. Recalling the horror, Yadav said the attackers opened fire without warning, sparking security concerns.
