Gautam Adani and family participate in Maha Kumbh Mela

Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani on Tuesday attended the Maha Kumbh Mela, a congregation of one of the largest masses in the world, along with his family at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Accompanied by his wife, Priti Adani, who chairs the Adani Foundation, and their son, Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZ Limited (APSEZ), the family offered prayers at Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers.

During the visit, Mr. Adani also visited the ISKCON temple camp at the fair and participated in the preparation of Mahaprasad – the holy meal distributed among the devotees. The Adani Group has joined hands with ISKCON for providing meals to the masses attending the Kumbh Mela which began on January 13 and would last till February 26.

Speaking to reporters after his visit, Mr. Adani said he was thankful to the Uttar Pradesh administration, safai karamcharis and police personnel for the way they were managing the Kumbh Mela, which is likely to attract 40 crore devotees.

“My experience at Prayagraj Maha Kumbh was wonderful. The management here could serve as a case study for management institutes,”

He said.

He further said,

“Nothing is better than the blessings of Maa Ganga.”

This month, Adani Group in association with Gita Press also distributed one crore free copies of “Aarti Sangraha” to devotees coming for Kumbh. Announcing this on X, Mr Adani termed the Maha Kumbh as “great yagya of Indian culture and religious faith.”

“It is a matter of great pleasure for us that in this Mahayagya, we are offering one crore copies of ‘Aarti Sangraha’ in collaboration with the esteemed institution Gita Press,”

He said.

He added, praising the officials working in Gita Press: “One hundred years continuously with the single effort to serve the country through Sanatan Sahitya. “The selfless feeling and sense of religion and cultural responsibilities is the greatness of patriotism for which we have been committed to. Seva is meditation, Seva is Prayer and Seva itself is God “.”.
