Chairman and Managing Director of Raymond Group, Gautam Singhania, lashed out at Italian luxury carmaker Lamborghini for its “arrogance” over his complaint about his Lamborghini Revuelto. Singhania, a high-profile businessman, faced a situation where his car failed electrically, leaving him stranded on the Mumbai trans-harbour link.
Amarinder Singhania ripped into Lamborghini’s leadership on X: “Shockingly Arrogant. None have even called to understand consumer issues. Certainly, India Head Sharad Agarwal and Asia Head Francesco Scardaoni will not care.
Singhania, a long-time brand patron, showed how the India division of Lamborghini had never contacted him despite his earlier patronage. In an earlier tweet dated October 16, he mentioned there was no follow-up from Agarwal and asked whether the brand’s arrogance had reached new heights.
This happened earlier in the month when Singhania took his new Lamborghini Revuelto on a test run. Certainly, what happened-essentially, being stranded due to an electrical fault-at best raises reliability concerns. He mentioned this while pointing out that he heard of three similar incidents within 15 days of delivery.
Lamborghini Revuelto costs ₹ 8.89 crore in India. Suddenly, the Revuelto found itself at the center of unwanted attention, as Singhania’s experience raised serious questions about the Italian super sports car brand’s customer service and reliability. Lamborghini India has not commented on the matter so far.
