The government of Himachal Pradesh has introduced the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna (Succor and Relief Benefits) Program Yojana, which entails Rs. 1,500 monthly financial aid for women aged between 18 and 60. This programme targets more than five hundred thousand women annually and has an ongoing budget of ₹800 crores.
Personal income taxpayers, women residing at monasteries, family members of public servants, and pensioners from central and state governments are possible recipients of these allowances. Nevertheless, the program does not include constant contractual workers, temporary outsourced workers, daily wage earners, and categories of other specific types.
The public declaration of financial assistance to women is one of the promises of Had made by the incumbent ruling party, Congress, in Himachal Pradesh. While this has earned the government criticism from its political rivals, they have been accused of tricking the women and employing tricky tactics in the diversion.
They say
this program is a false confidence introduced before the elections, and other voters criticize it for disapproving that women are required to file for financial aid, which seriously undermines its effectiveness.
The state government of Himachal Pradesh is accredited with supporting women and their financial problems. The monthly assistance program empowers women to enjoy a better life and stable economic growth.
