Just when the hue and cry over her selection arose, Puja Khedekar was withdrawn to the academy, and her training schedule was suspended.
Shortly appointed probationary IAS officer Puja Khedekar, involved in the scandal on fake disability and caste certificates, failed the assigned initial deadline on Tuesday to report for training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie.
When the issue regarding her selection came into the limelight, Khedekar was withdrawn from Academy, and the training program was suspended. She was asked to report by July 23. The LBSNAA, or Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, is a training center for civil servants located in Mussoorie.
On July 16, Maharashtra’s Additional Chief Secretary Nitin Garde addressed a letter to and to Puja Khedekar recommending that her training tenure with the government be discontinued. People privy to the matter revealed that Puja Khadka has not joined the academy nor has responded to the letter.
That there is a direction to stop the training of Puja Khadar, IAS 2023 batch, for district training and to issue instructions immediately to recall her to the academy for further necessary action; the state government is requested to relieve the probationer immediately and advise her to join the academy at the earliest, under no circumstances later than July 23.
Khedekar is a 2023 batch trainee IAS officer accused of favoritism while practicing in the OBC and PBS categories meant for selection.
She also got the arrest warrant issued by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police for furnishing the false information regarding her identity to UPSC in order to make more attempts at the civil services exam than she herself was entitled to.
