Indian Air Force and Army battle raging Nainital Forest Fire

Nainital Forest Department is asking for the IAF and Indian Army’s help in controlling a tremendous forest fire that has been burning for more than 36 hours. The fire has swept across several forest hectares and destroyed them without revealing a trace, leaving a trail of destruction behind.

Despite the desperate circumstances, the fire brigade is armed with an empty set of tools, and the mass helicopters, single-flewn, are the only hope of struggle besides the district administration. The rapid response, however, stops the fire expansion and helps reduce the damage that has already been done.

The Chief Minister of the state of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, expressed his anxiety about the fire incident that happened this morning and said

That all measures were required to bring the fire under control. He declared that the strong adversity would be honored through this partnership among the three parties.

The blaze disrupted the High Court Colony in Nainital, which called the officials to action to repel the rousing flames. In addition, traffic flow from the Pines areas was disrupted by the fire that had also come close to it.

For the safety of the Air Force region, the Nainital area water supply for the helicopter units gazing at the flying fire has been authorized. Hence, the administration could suspend boating activities in Naini Lake for a short period of time to assist these initiatives.

The forest department is now equipped with 40 workers to manage this blaze, and residents are on the highest guard. The escalation of the dangers by the fire menace as it creeps into the Pines area, a strategic zone for the Indian Army, is highly alarming.

In the precipitous region of Uttarakhand, in the Kumaon region, 26 natural forest fires have been reported only in the past 24 hours, and along this Garhwal region, another 5 fires have occurred. A total of 33.34 hectares of forest land was affected in the blaze. Urgent action to tackle the current danger is imperative to protect biodiversity and Reduce the damage.
