Indian Air Force reports remotely piloted aircraft crash in Jaisalmer

Therefore, the unforeseen occurrence of an unmanned aircraft belonging to the Indian Air Force that crashed in Pithala village in Jaisalmer district, a rural area, was reported. The incident was confirmed by the Indian Air Force on Thursday, 25th of April, 20204.

According to the Indian Air Force (IAF) report, the airplane crashed during periodic training flying. Nobody was reported hurt, including workers engaged in this operation. Likewise, there was no loss of property in the local area.

The official position of the IAF is specified in the statement released via their portal:

“An IAF remotely piloted aircraft encountered an accident while it evolved during a routine training sortie in the vicinity of Jaisalmer, accidentally causing no harm or damage to any person or asset.”

On the other hand, the Indian Air Force immediately opened its investigation with a Court of Inquiry. The aim of this investigation is to investigate further and infer the exact factors that paved the way for this sad event.

The Indian Air Force stays firm to preserving the aircraft and its troops’ safety and security. Such mishaps are treated quite seriously, and through thorough investigations, the IAF will do everything by all the means it takes to ensure that such events do not take place on the box.
