India’s Onion Diplomacy with Sri Lanka and UAE, PM Modi’s Praise for BJP’s Owaisi Challenger

India comes to Sri Lanka’s aid with onion supplies.

In line with its Neighbourhood First policy, India plans to supply thousands of metric tons of onions to Sri Lanka to help with shortages in the island nation. This comes after India recently provided essential supplies to the Maldives and additional quotas of onions to the United Arab Emirates. The newest onion shipment to Sri Lanka exceeds the 14,400 metric tons of onions already agreed to be exported to the UAE earlier this month.
