A bomb threat was received on an IndiGo flight, operating from Goa to Mumbai, on Monday evening which later turned out to be a hoax after the thorough security check.
On landing, at Mumbai airport, the flight 6E 5101 was taxied to isolation bay wherein all passengers were deplaned safely, the airline Spokesperson said in a statement issued on Tuesday.
He added that all the standard operating procedures were duly followed and the aircraft returned to the terminal after the relevant authorities cleared it.
The airline did not issue information on how many passengers were traveling aboard the flight.
An airport official said a note with the bomb threat message was found onboard the aircraft. Following this, a full emergency was declared at Mumbai airport around 10:30 PM, which was lifted by 11:30 PM after the threat was found to be unverified.
