What is our fault here? Muzamil worked only on the zipline; he didn’t do anything else,” his father, Abdul Aziz, said. The family of the zipline operator Muzamil, who has been accused of uttering “Allahu Akbar” while carrying out the Pahalgam terror attack, has come out in support of their son. His father, Abdul Aziz, said that his son was crying and afraid after what happened.
“Muzamil is with the police at present. He was highly tense; he began crying at that moment. He uttered, ‘Don’t speak anything to me; something occurred here,” Muzamil’s father, Abdul Aziz, informed ANI.
When he was questioned regarding the viral video where Muzamil had uttered “Allahu Akbar,” he stated that, “Even if the storm comes, we say Allahu Akbar. What fault do we have in this? Muzamil used to work only with the zipline; he didn’t do any other work.”
He stressed that Muzamil was merely discharging his professional obligation and did not aim to cause any harm. Earlier today, Congress lawmaker Pramod Tiwari demanded a proper probe into a viral clip wherein a tourist is seen having fun doing ziplining at Pahalgam and the tourist accused the zipline operator of having yelled “Allahu Akbar.”
“This is a matter of inquiry. I have also watched that video. There ought to be an inquiry into it. The truth should surface. No security force was sent there. Everyone except the Indian government was aware that tourists in large numbers are arriving there (in Pahalgam),” he replied.
On social media, a viral video of Gujarat tourist Rishi Bhatt emerged, in which he was captured participating in a ziplining activity when terrorists began firing. In an interview with ANI in Ahmedabad regarding his viral video, Bhatt claimed that the zipline operator yelled “Allahu Akbar” three times, after which the firing commenced. He claimed that he had a suspicion regarding the Kashmiri zipline operator.
“Nine individuals ziplined before me, but the man did not say a word. When I was sliding, he uttered something, and then firing ensued. So, I suspect that man. He uttered ‘Allahu Akbar’ three times, and then firing ensued. He was like any common Kashmiri,” Bhatt asserted.
“Firing began when I was ziplining. After 20 seconds, I understood that it was a terrorist attack. and people on the ground are getting killed,” Bhatt informed ANI while describing the incident. “I saw 5-6 people getting shot.”
Then he separated himself from the zipline and ran away with his family. I unbuckled my belt and jumped down, grabbed my wife and son, and began to run away. We noticed individuals taking shelter in a place that looked like a pit, hence hard to see at a glance. We hid there too,” he continued.
The Pahalgam attack was on April 22 at Baisaran meadow when terrorists attacked tourists, killing 25 Indian citizens and one Nepalese citizen and injuring some others.
