Kamal Haasan surprises with alliance twist: Joins forces with MK Stalin’s DMK

The principle of the Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), the party led by the famous actor Kamal Hassan, and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), have entered into an alliance which gives a wider scope of the act developed which clearly shows positive results by the Lok Sabha elections.

With all his wide smile, Haasan made the announcement in Chennai sidestepping the issue of his profit while informing that their decision was more patriotic-driven than profits-driven.

The meetings that Haasan has with the DMK leadership take place at their party headquarters and he confirmed his partnership with the DMK chief Minister M.K. Stalin.

Of all forms of solidarity, the show of solidarity by MNM is certainly the best as the party has promised to be united with the alliance and has committed the party to the campaign in all 39 Lok Sabha seats and the remaining one in the Puducherry segment.

This collaboration turned out to be a big deal as both Haasan and Stalin were able to achieve a very significant consensus that was going in the direction that was suitable for their respective communities as they delineated that goal.

This alliance became neither a whimsical nor an unlikely event. Earlier, a Yuvi-ing, somehow, snuck in several statements revealing his affection for DMK. In this vein, he defended Udhayanithi Stalin, the son of M.K Stalin, who had confronted an offense about his Sanatana Dharmic statement. Haasan burned the midnight oil making the line between harassment and free speech clearer and clearer highlighting the nightmarish treatment Udhayanidhi was subjected to because of his authentic expression of his basic of views.

On the other hand, in the two major elections of 2019 Lok Sabha and 2021 Assembly, Haasan showed his savage support for the secular progressive alliance candidate contesting the Erode by-election(s). These steps are Haasan’s undisputable pledge to realism and mutual work, and he has also successfully created the power of change.

While the DMK and its allies, including the Congress, are finalizing the seat-sharing arrangement ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the talks have been going on between these two parties for a week now. Eagerness is written all over as the week draws to a close and campaign issues are slowly coming to an end. With representatives showing high energy and good mood, the front is being shaped to deal with whoever will be the other party’s standard bearer. In 2019, the DMK-led alliance overwhelmingly won 38 out of 39 seats and Congress all by itself secured 8 out of 9 seats contested. One main difference this time will be the formulation of an alliance involving of Kamal Haasan’s MNM which is expected to boost the DAFE collation’s involvement in the state as a whole.

In the wake of the reshuffling of the political structure in the state of Tamil Nadu, the contest for extricating electoral victory, with alliances and strategic partnerships as influencing factors, now takes place.
