Kangana Ranaut denies beef consumption allegations, calls them baseless rumors

Kangana Ranaut, the BJP candidate from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, has strongly denied claims made by Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar that she once consumed beef. Responding to the allegations, Ranaut asserted her commitment to a yogic and Ayurvedic lifestyle and expressed disappointment over the spread of baseless rumours about her dietary choices.

In a statement shared on social media, Ranaut emphasized that she does not consume beef or any other form of red meat. She condemned the tactics employed to tarnish her image and stated that such attempts would not succeed in misleading the people who know her well. Proudly identifying herself as a Hindu, she expressed confidence that her supporters understand her true character.

The controversy surrounding Ranaut intensified as BJP leader Shaina NC criticized Vijay Wadettiwar, labelling his party as “anti-woman.” Shaina NC pointed out the history of the Congress party making derogatory comments, including Supriya Shrinate’s remarks about market rates and Randeep Surjewala’s comments on Hema Malini’s age. According to Shaina NC, these instances reflect a clear bias against women within the Congress party.

This recent episode follows Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate’s earlier derogatory remark about Kangana Ranaut. Responding to Shrinate’s comments, Ranaut highlighted the diverse roles she has portrayed on screen, ranging from a prostitute in “Rajjo” to a revolutionary leader in “Thalaivii.” She called for the empowerment of women, urging society to move beyond objectifying and stigmatizing them, particularly by using the lives and circumstances of sex workers as slurs or insults.

Supriya Shrinate later issued a video clarification, asserting that the inappropriate posts made from her social media handle were unauthorized and had been promptly deleted upon discovery.
