Karnataka CM congratulates PM Modi, hopes for state’s development.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has congratulated Narendra Modi on being sworn in as Prime Minister for a third consecutive term. In a statement on social media, Siddaramaiah wished PM Modi the very best and expressed hope that Karnataka receives its due share of support.
“Heartiest congratulations to Narendra Modi. The people of Karnataka look forward to the state receiving cooperation in its progress,” he stated.
Earlier in the day, Modi took the oath of office at Rashtrapati Bhawan along with the new Union Council of Ministers. World leaders from Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, and the Maldives attended the ceremony.
Donning a traditional outfit, Modi pledged to uphold the integrity of India and its people. He has prior experience as Gujarat CM from 2001-2014, besides his ongoing tenure as PM since 2014.
Siddaramaiah’s message comes at a significant juncture, with Karnataka polls next year. The state hopes to benefit from the Modi government’s second-term vision for balanced development across India.
The CM, extending good wishes to the re-elected prime minister, commented that cooperation between central and state administrations would be crucial in realizing people’s aspirations.
