Karnataka MP accused of sexual assault flees to Germany

In a shocking revelation, Minister for External Affairs S Jaishankar said that MEA received a request only on the 21st of May to revoke the passport of Janata Dal-Secular MP Prajwal Revanna, who fled to Germany last month in a case of alan accusation.

Revanna, who recently had to testify against a Special Investigative Team (SIT) of the Karnataka government, has been accused of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation by a woman who formerly worked for him in his home.

In response to the matter, Jaishankar explained the processional details while indicating that the passport can only be canceled under a judicial court or police night, which was provided to MEA by Karnataka on May 21st.

”We immediately acted on the threat,” he stated, ‘We have to follow a certain procedure and the procedure is initiated’ On 23rd of May…”

The Congress government has accused the BJP of protecting Revanna. However, Jaishankar rubbished all the allegations, saying, ‘They did not make the first move… ‘I mean, he is not the only one whose passport is being impounded.’

It all started in April when videos allegedly involving Revanna, brother-in-law of the Karnataka chief minister, surfaced on social media just before the Lok Sabha election; after which, the Karnataka government constituted the SIT on 27th April to look into the allegations made against Revanna.
