Prajwal Revanna, a JD(S) MP for the Karnataka constituency, is presently suspended from the party amid alleged involvement in sexually profane videos which showed him assaulting multiple women all directly. Prajwal Revanna, who represents the constituency of Hassan, also appeared on the party menu on a show cause notice.
The furore broke out after videos showing scenes of a political nature linked to Prajwal Revanna went viral on social media shortly after he was elected in his constituency. According to this version, Revanna purportedly recorded them on his own camera, which was then broadcast widely.
Another woman came with a police complaint against Prajwal, demanding the perpetrator be punished for the sexual assault. She indicated that being abused had occurred no less than three times over the period when she stepped up in 2019 and stepped down at the end of 2022. On the other hand, the complainant asserted that the President had also had his daughter defile her.
Revana proved his guilt by complaining about faked videos. The videos revealed the truth the professor had been trying to hide, and he disappeared to Germany.
The government of Karnataka had been comprising an SIT to conduct the probe. The women’s commission of that state has issued a suggestion for corresponding action. Revanna’s father, HD Revanna, a sitting MLA, has also been shown the door. Both senior leaders have been accused of corruption, and hence, there is a possibility that others will be privy to these details.
Local papers have accused local rival politicians of making up stories and using already old videos. The request seems to be the main issue in this debate. This is the intention that SIT proposes to request the return of Prajwal Revanna to India for interrogation.
BJP leader Devraj Gowda said pen drive was dropped by instead of electing people on the merits of their work and their stand on issues. The investigation is ongoing.
