A day after an alleged attack on his vehicle while campaigning, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal came forward and promised to give his life for the nation but was critical of the violent ways the election process was adopted. He noted that Delhi had never seen such aggressive campaigning as it shows how serious a “murderous attack” was made on a former chief minister.
The Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday blamed supporters of BJP candidate Parvesh Verma for the attack on Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency. “The people of Delhi have never seen such campaigning and violence, where a murderous attack was attempted on a former chief minister. This reflects their desperation as they are badly losing,” Kejriwal said, attacking the BJP.
Let him live in dreams for some days,” Kejriwal said responding to Verma’s assertion that he would lose the New Delhi seat by 20,000 votes during an interaction with reporters.
Apart from the attack, Kejriwal also said that he has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about a housing scheme for government employees. The Delhi government can construct the houses if the Centre provides the land, he proposed. The sanitation workers would get the benefit initially, and the other government employees could be extended the benefit under good terms.
