Kishore Lal Sharma, who is very close to the Congress party, has been, thus, more than 40 years in the service of Amethi as a parliamentarian all along, thanks to the many thousands of people behind him and the Gandhi family.
Sharing his experiences, he will also campaign as an MP candidate in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. The Amethi region, which has pledged allegiance towards the party before, has picked Sharma to represent it in the parliament.
In the 2024 elections, Rahul Gandhi, who had been Amethi’s MP until the last general elections, will contest from Rae Bareli. On the other hand, the importance of Amethi in the Indian political scenario cannot be overstated.
Sharma was brought in 1983 by Rajiv Gandhi and has been playing an active role among the people in this region. He worked tightly with the crew’s primary head, Captain Satish Sharma, who gained this position multiple times, and also later on served Sonia Gandhi when she started getting active in politics.
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took to address party workers in Amethi  prior to Sharma’s nomination papers being filed. She had the audacity and courage to push Sharma’s candidacy by declaring that she would be in the constituency from May 6 onwards.
Sharma’s abundance of experience and arguably the accompanying familiarity with Amethi, which stems from a long-standing relationship with the constituency, make him an articulate contender for the imminent elections and Smiriti Irani, who aims to retain his political mandate from this constituency.
