Kolkata rape accused allegedly molested another woman same night

The prime suspect arrested for the rape and murder of a young girl in Kolkata recently divulged several important aspects relating to his activities at the time of the occurrence when he was questioned by the CBI officers that were interrogating him.

The prime accused in the brutal rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College Hospital in Kolkata admitted to the crime during interrogation—CBI sources.

Under questioning, Sanjay Roy gave accounts of his movements on the night of the crime, saying that he had been to two red light areas in the city but did not have intercourse.

He also admitted that he sexually attacked a woman on the street, which was captured on the cameras. Moreover, the accused said that he uses the internet frequently, during which he made a video call to his girlfriend and asked her for nude pictures.

August 8: Roy took his friend to RG Kar Hospital as a friend’s brother was admitted in this hospital.

At 11:15 PM, the two left the hospital and agreed to take alcohol. They bought alcoholic products and consumed them while on the road.

They decided to go to the red light district in north Kolkata known as Sonagachi.

Having failed in Sonagachi, the team decided to visit Chetla, also a red-light area, but in South Kolkata.

On their way to Chetla, the miscreants attacked a girl on the road and sexually harassed her.

In Chetla, he made his friend engage in sexual intercourse with a woman, whereas Roy stayed outside to converse with his girlfriend via video call. She brought nude pictures of herself to PC after Roy asked her to send them over.

Roy and his friend went back to the hospital. Roy was on the fourth floor of the trauma center.
