Kunal Kamra requests Nitin Gadkari in dispute with Ola CEO

Comedian Kunal Kamra has been raising the issue of Ola’s service centers for some time now, with complaints about electric scooters lining up.

New Delhi: Comedian Kunal Kamra, who had been locked in a tussle with Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal over its electric scooters, is now appealing to Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari to “look at the plight of Indian customers.” For two weeks, Mr Kamra has been highlighting the plight of Ola’s service centers, where complaints about electric scooters have arisen.

In the current turn of events, Mr. Kamra took it to X (formerly Twitter). He reshared a post by user Prathamesh Dagan, who alleged that all scooters at Rangraj Nagar, Solapur center, are in bad condition and that no qualified engineers or technicians are in sight to look after them.

“Customers invest hard-earned money. It’s unacceptable,” the user wrote. He also shared the video and tagged Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, asking the government to intervene.

Kunal Kamra has been having a fierce battle with Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal. He regularly asks him to take care of the Ola Electric scooters. He even once asked him to give a “total refund” to anyone who wants to return his Ola EV and has bought it in the last four months.

“People not being able to get to their workplace need your accountability. Show your customers that you truly care,” he wrote.

It all started on October 6 when Mr. Kamra took to his official X account and posted an image showing many EV scooters parked at an Ola service center.

“Do Indian consumers have a voice? Do they deserve this? Two-wheelers are many daily wage workers’ lifeline. Anyone with an issue with Ola Electric leaves your story below tagging all., he wrote.

His post, however, didn’t sit well with Bhavesh Aggarwal, who called it a “paid tweet” and asked Mr Karma to “come and help” them out.
