Mamata Banerjee’s INDIA Bloc redefined: commitment to “outside support”

The Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, said she would “provide outside support” to the opposition bloc in India when the general election is over and the bloc comes to power.

Kolkata: Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who earlier put her decision on being part of the India bloc on hold after a clash with the Congress, seems to have moved from the frozen state. The Chief Minister today declared that she would “assist the opposition bloc” on behalf of the government if the opposition bloc were to win the general election.

Through the India Alliance, we will support its leadership and do everything for them. We will form a government so that in Bengal our mothers and sisters never have a problem and those who are part of the 100-day job scheme do not face problems, is what she said today.

However, she made her definite description of the Indian bloc clear: it does not include the CPM or the Bengal Congress, the head of which is her arch-rival and senior Congress leader, Adhir Chowdhury.

You should know that the India Alliance is not the Iraq Congress and the CPI (M); these two are with the BJP; I am referring to Delhi.
