Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh said that the people of Senapati play a pivotal role in maintaining Manipur’s unity, integrity, and peaceful coexistence.
On Wednesday, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh urged the people of Senapati to support efforts to restore peace and normalcy in the state while acknowledging misunderstandings and unrest that have led to the loss of lives and property.
He said that the people of Senapati, especially the Civil Society Organisations like the Naga Peoples’ Organisation, the United Naga Council, and various student associations, are very important in maintaining Manipur’s unity, integrity, and peaceful coexistence.
All humans err, and there should be a space where reconciliation, forgiveness, and understanding take place through talks and meetings,” Singh said after striking the ceremonial fire to activate the three-day RobvenaNi 2024 Festival at the Asufii Robvena Ground, Punanamei Village Senatapi.
He mentioned that the state government focuses on bringing equitable development to the hills and valleys through initiatives like ‘Go to Hills.’ Singh claimed that 70–80% of hill districts’ transformative developments have succeeded.
