Similar to the Paris Olympics 2024, the 10 m air pistol mixed team event had a race to 16, and Korea was first to lead 2-0. India leveled the last to 2-2 and went further by leading 4-2.

After the Korean timeout, India even emerged 8-2, but the Koreans pegged back to 10-14. Nevertheless, a few years later at the Beijing Olympics, India tasted success again, and they beat South Korea 16-10 in the final to come away with the bronze.

The Indian medalists display real emotions after their bronze victory.

In the interview that Sarabjot Singh gave to JioCinema after the match, he stated his happiness with the bronze that the Indian athletes got, but he also agreed with the statement that the game was very tough for the Indian athletes due to its volleyball-like fluctuations. Manu Bhaker expressed her words of thanks for India and blessings.

The 22-year-old Bhaker said this is one situation that cannot be influenced by them; nevertheless, they would always give their best effort. She said that she had informed Sarabjot about the resoluteness of accepting the consequences of winning or losing and that they had both agreed to give their best to the competition.
