Modi condoles lives lost in Rajasthan LPG tanker accident

PM Modi condoles Jaipur fire tragedy and announces compensation for kin of the deceased ₹2 lacks and ₹50,000 for injured ones Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences to the families of the victims who died in the Jaipur fire tragedy, which took the lives of at least seven people.

The PM also declared an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh to the family of the dead and ₹50,000 for those who got injured in this incident.

Prime Minister’s Office in a post on social media platform X, “Disturbed by the loss of lives in the accident on Jaipur-Ajmer highway in Rajasthan. Condolences to those who lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon. The local administration is assisting those affected.”

“An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000,” the post added. A massive fire broke out in Jaipur on Friday morning when a truck loaded with chemicals collided with a tanker carrying LPG and other vehicles on the Jaipur-Ajmer route.

The superintendent of SMS Hospital, Dr. Sushil Kumar Bhati, said that seven died, ten to twelve persons were injured, and 60 percent of the casualties suffered burns. At present, 28 patients have been admitted, and six have been kept on ventilators.
