MP man caught traveling 290 km hanging under train

A man almost lost his life to reach his destination in Madhya Pradesh as he travelled 290 km hanging under the train until he was caught during a train inspection.

A man was arrested after he was found hiding under the Danapur Express coach. He had already travelled 290 kilometres from Itarsi to Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, poised in one posture between the wheels.

The incident came to light in Jabalpur during a rolling test conducted near the Jabalpur railway station by the Carriage and Wagon department staff, only after the man had dangerously travelled close to 300 km, risking his life.

A confession made by the man explained that he had boarded at Itarsi. As he didn’t have any money on hand to purchase the ticket, he considered it feasible enough to take the chance to risk his life by travelling between the wheels of the train. The railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel were called from there.

RPF extracted the man from his hiding spot and took custody of him. However, it is not known how he positioned himself in that hiding spot under the train.
