Mumbai cops arrest engineer over fake bomb threat at Ambani wedding

Within a short span of time, the Mumbai Police detained a 32-years engineer due to a threatening message he posted on social media about a bomb blast in the uncommon and opulent wedding of Anant Ambani, child of Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant.

The accused, whose name was given as Viral Shah of Vadodara, Gujarat, was arrested from his residence at Miramar Tuesday morning by the police crime branch in Mumbai, as stated by a police official.

The Twitter user made the social media post that was to set off the incident identified as @FFSFIRelligence, which had proposed what would happen if a bomb were to go off at the Ambani-Merchant wedding – the world economy would be badly hit.

On the microblogging platform X, now the former Twitter, there was the following message: ‘Feeling sinful, I began to think what if a bomb were planted in Ambani’s wedding, the entire half of the world would go topsy-turvy, trillions of dollars, in one pin code.

If there is any Related Case, it concerns the authorities that recently received an alarming message on social networking sites. They launched a swift investigation even if they described the threat as fake. However, the police stepped up security at the high-profile wedding reception in Mumbai at the Jio World Convention Centre in the BKC area.

During the course of the investigation, the Mumbai Police worked out the social media handle’s identity to be from Vadodara, after which a team was immediately sent to the neighboring city to arrest the culprit. He is being taken to Mumbai for questioning and possible legal action now that the engineer has been identified.

The much-publicized marriage reception of Anant Ambani to Radhika Merchant lasted a week and ended on July 12. Bollywood celebrities, industry captains, and politicians graced the occasion. The event showcased that the Ambanis are one of India’s most influential business families.
