Mumbai police on Tuesday arrested its fourth one as part of the ongoing probe into the Baba Siddique murder case. The 23-year-old scrap dealer from Pune was caught by the crime branch of the Uttar Pradesh police at Bahraich, said the police.
The fourth accused is Harishkumar Balakram, a resident of Bahraich. According to police, he was part of the conspiracy, supplied money, and handled other logistics.
Now, the police said that a pistol had been found inside a black bag close to the crime scene near the Nirmal Nagar police station.
The weapon was recovered only 100 meters from the spot where the shooting took place, according to reports.
This was done based on the intelligence provided by the accused arrested.
They claimed they had tossed a bag at the locality while trying to escape from the area.
