Nayab Singh Saini to replace Manohar Lal Khattar as Haryana CM

Speculations are swirling as fractures emerge within Haryana’s BJP, JJP, and coalition over the high seat-sharing in the Lok Sabha election. Regarding these uncertainties, ML Khattar, the CM, and his cabinet ministers submitted their resignation letters to the Governor of Haryana, Bandaru Dattatreya.

Nayab Singh Saini, the current Haryana BJP President, will possibly fill in Khattar’s boots as the next Chief Minister of the BJP. The cabinet headed by Khattar, which consisted of 14 ministers, including the JJP JV Dushyant Chautala as the deputy chief minister, all submitted their resignations. The media reports that a committed new cabinet will take oath with the incoming oath-taking ceremony held at the governor’s house.

To take up the challenging task of dealing with the ever-changing situation, the BJP has resorted to the idea of a meeting of its MLAs at the BJP residency in Delhi. Duties and supervision as the observers in this election have been entrusted to the Union minister – Arjun Munda, BJP’s National General Secretary, Tarun Chugh, and BJP Rajya Sabha MP – Subhash Barala.

Reports mention that the CM candidate from she would be locked sabha seat (KARNAL) will take the mystery of modern-day politics to new levels.

Currently, the BJP rules the House, having 41 seats out of 90, while the JJP holds its own 10. Moreover, it is composed of a majority of seven out of seven independent MPs. Apart from Congress, 30 or more MLAs belong to the Opposition parties, and the prime among them is the INC. There are two other parties who the Haryana Lokhit Party and Indian National Lok Dal, each holding one seat.

BJP is currently India’s ruling party, and it uncovered its former potential for a clean sweep by achieving a complete victory at the state level in the Lok Sabha elections 2019. With the political arena in flux, the main direction now is towards Nayab Singh Saini as he readies to lead Haryana as its new Chief Minister.
