The NEET-PG 2024 exam date announcement is expected next week

In a move to ensure the integrity and transparency of the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2024, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced that the exam date will be revealed within the next week.

Abhijat Sheth, the President of NBEMS, stated that the decision to review the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols for the examination was prompted by recent concerns raised by the student community. “The government has decided to ensure that the sanctity, safety, and security of the examination are maintained,” Sheth explained, emphasizing the importance of addressing these issues promptly.

Addressing the advisory issued against social media messages and fraud warnings, Sheth acknowledged the vast reach of social media and the potential for misinformation. “We wanted to ensure that students remain on the right path,” he said, highlighting the need to protect the examination process.

The meeting between NBEMS officials and the Health Ministry, Sheth revealed, focused on reviewing the computer-based examination process and incorporating the government’s inputs.

“The government has also given directions to the examination body and Tata Consultancy Services, a technical partner of NBEMS,”

He added, emphasizing the collaborative efforts to address any shortcomings.

The NEET-PG 2024 exam, conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), plays a crucial role in the admission process for approximately 26,168 Doctor of Medicine (MD) seats, 13,649 Master of Surgery (MS) seats, and 922 PG Diploma seats across various government, private, deemed, and central universities nationwide.

As the countdown begins for the highly anticipated exam, aspiring doctors eagerly await the official announcement of the NEET-PG 2024 exam date, which is set to be revealed in the coming week.
