The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG), renowned for its difficulty, has been tainted by a cheating scandal during the recent exam held on May 5th. Acting swiftly, the Delhi Police have apprehended four members of a gang involved in a paper-solving racket, including two MBBS students from government medical colleges.
The special staff led by DCP Devesh Kumar Mahla took stringent measures against cheating during the NEET exam. The operation resulted in the arrest of four individuals and confiscating four mobile phones and a car. Biometric data discrepancies led to the arrest of two MBBS students, Sumit Mondoliya and Krishna Keswani, at the exam center.
A special team has been deployed to conduct raids in Delhi, Alwar, Jaipur, and Noida based on technical surveillance to nab the remaining suspects. The interrogation revealed the masterminds, Prabhat Kumar and Kishor Lal, who were subsequently arrested from a Noida hotel. Kumar ran a coaching academy while Lal was a consultant, allegedly luring top students with financial incentives for exam malpractice.
Before this incident, the Bihar Police had arrested 13 individuals, including examinees and their families, in connection with the NEET paper leak. Authorities are determined to maintain the integrity of the crucial medical entrance exam and ensure fair opportunities for deserving candidates.
