Non-local civilian killed by terrorists in J&K’s Shopian

The security forces reached the spot, and the body was taken to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.

In Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists on Thursday shot dead a non-local, officials said. The bullet-riddled body of the man was recovered from the Wachi area of Zainapora in the south Kashmir district, they said.

The body, apparently of a non-local, bore bullet injuries, they added. SSP Shopian confirms the incident as one of the terror attacks, according to Hindustan Times.

Security personnel reached the place, and the body of the victim was taken to the nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities. Further details await to come in.

The authority has launched an investigation to identify the victim.

An Indian Army soldier kidnapped by terrorists in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir was found dead with bullet injuries on his body, it is reported.

Two soldiers of 161 units of the Territorial Army, who were part of a joint anti-terror operation launched by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police on October 8, were kidnapped from the forest area in Anantnag, according to reports. One of them, however, managed to escape despite suffering two bullet injuries.
