PM Modi accuses Maha Vikas Aghadi of corruption in Maharashtra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi labelled the opposition alliance for Maha Vikas Aghadi, comprising Congress, NCP, and Shiv Sena, the biggest player in corruption. In a public meeting in Chimur, Maharashtra, he accused the coalition of obstructing state development.

“The people of Maharashtra have been demanding rail connectivity for decades, while Congress and Aghadi parties have always created obstacles. The fast development of Maharashtra is out of their reach. These parties have only become experts in putting brakes on progress. Stopping, hindering, misleading—that’s the specialty of Congress. Aghadi is the biggest ‘Khiladi’ in corruption,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister also spoke on the issue of tribal unity. “Congress wants to divide the tribals on caste lines,” he said. “About 10% of the population in the country is tribal, and Congress wants to fracture the Adivasi community to break the cohesion at the ground level.

They aim to cause internal war within even though it is already united. If the Adivasi community gets divided on caste lines, it loses its identity and strength. The Congress prince also spoke about this conspiracy abroad,” he added, referring to Rahul Gandhi’s promise for a caste census.

Modi then proceeded to give the historical background of Article 370, stating it has been a device for Congress and its ecosystem to derive political benefit through violence and separatism. “The mess in Jammu and Kashmir has continued for decades. Essentially, it was because of Article 370, which was the legacy of Congress. Abrogation of Article 370 fully integrated Kashmir into India and its Constitution,” he said.

He also targeted the Gandhi family for fostering a sense of entitlement to rule over the country, which stood in the way of Dalits, backward classes, and Adivasis. “The Congress has often shown their irritation at reservations, and under Rajiv Gandhi’s rule in the 1980s, they raised questions over special rights enjoyed by these communities,” Modi added.

As Maharashtra elections are slated for November 20 and results will be declared on November 23, Modi exuded confidence that the BJP-led Mahayuti would win a comfortable majority in the state.
