PM Modi criticizes Congress for Rajya Sabha entry route

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an election meeting at Jalore in Rajasthan, attacked the opposition Congress without mentioning Sonia Gandhi directly on the grounds that their return back to the Rajya Sabha, after being out of the Indian Parliament for many years, paved the way for a backdoor entry into the Parliament instead of competing for people’s mandate through the General Elections.

The Chairman, however, highlighted to the house that the Congress’ first leader to Rajasthan was KC Venugopal from the South, and later, in 2013, the same year, the state helped former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh move into Rajya Sabha.

PM Modi inquired as to why Manmohan Singh, if indeed he had been ill ever then, had not attended any single function there. Rajasthan has been a loyalist of the Congress for the second time; this time, the Congress party has received a second member in the Rajya Sabha (Sonia Gandhi was the second candidate from the state of Rajasthan).

The margin against anybody who cannot challenge in the elections, he appreciated those who, however, resorted to the indirect election in the Rajya Sabha as an alternative to any worse idea. Moreover, he also criticized Congress for the decrease in endorsements as it has won nearly 400 seats in the past, and today, it is struggling to search even 300 candidates for them.

The fall in achievement of the gods he credited to their past misdeeds. He argued that the gods had developed a diminished capacity or had lost their potency. PM Modi lamented about the INDIA bloc, an opportunistic alliance among Congress, which has been a subject of much criticism due to its internal conflicts as one party contested against the other in the same set of elections.

Constituency, where the public meeting is to be held is the Jalore constituency.
