PM Modi meets Polish leader to strengthen bilateral ties

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk today about the prospective enhancement of India—Poland relations. This is Modi’s first visit to Poland as the Prime Minister of India and the first visit by an Indian PM after 45 years.

PM Modi arrived in Poland on Wednesday and was accorded a Guard of Honour and received a ceremonial red carpet welcome at the Federal Chancellery in Warsaw before the talks.

India Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, in a statement on X, noted that such a visit would add new vigor to India-Poland relations.

On this visit, PM Modi will also discuss with President Andrzej Sebastian Duda ways to strengthen bilateral diplomatic and economic partnerships.
