PM Modi outlines agenda for parliament session ahead of budget

With the first Union Budget of the third term of the Modi government around the corner, PM Narendra Modi has spelled out his plan for the parliament session. On the first day of the Budget session, the PM called upon the opposition and insisted on their active cooperation despite the political rivalry.

Speaking to media persons, Modi said that many Members of Parliament have been eager to raise concerns regarding their constituencies. Still, due to the ‘’adverse politics’’ by some of the opposition parties, Parliament’s valuable time has been wasted. In these situations, with such words, the Prime Minister seemed to directly refer to the opposition’s protest during the previous session.

Modi said that the new Union Budget will definitely outline the government’s vision for the next five years and lay the groundwork for the Viksit Bharat 2047 idea.

He also pointed to India’s vibrant economic status. It is the largest economy, growing at a rate of 8% over the last three years and being the fastest-growing large economy.

While appealing to the MPs, the Prime Minister appealed to them to set aside the parties’ interests and join hands to empower the poor, farmers, and women. He lamented that due to the negative politics that some of the parties displayed, some of the MPs did not get the chance to present issues of their constituencies.
