The Prime Minister met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at UNGA in New York and discussed bilateral issues and the ongoing conflict in Russia-Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New York on the sidelines of UNGA and reiterated India’s support for the early resolution of the conflict in Ukraine and the return of peace in the region.
PM Modi posted pictures in a post on X of him meeting President Zelenskyy in New York. “Met President Zelenskyy in New York.
We are committed to implementing the outcomes of my visit to Ukraine last month to strengthen bilateral relations.
Reiterated India’s support for early resolution of the conflict in Ukraine and restoration of peace and stability.”
In the video posted by news agency PTI, PM Modi and Zelenskyy share a hug and a handshake. The video further reveals Foreign Minister S Jaishankar’s presence during the meeting.
This is the third time in nearly three months that PM Modi has met with Zelenskyy. In August of this year, PM Modi visited war-torn Ukraine and asked for India’s stand for peace in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
