PM Modi responds to ‘Shakti’ Remark, Predicts big BJP win in 2024

PM Modi hits out at Opposition over ‘Shakti’ remark, predicts big BJP win in 2024

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a scathing attack on the Opposition bloc over Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Shakti’ comment. Addressing a rally in Telangana, PM Modi said the 2024 elections will be a fight between those wanting to destroy ‘Shakti’ and its worshippers.

His remarks come a day after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said in Mumbai that the Opposition was fighting against a ‘Shakti’, hinting at PM Modi. Gandhi claimed institutions like ED and CBI were under the control of this ‘Shakti’.

Rejecting the remarks, PM Modi stated India celebrated ISRO’s Chandrayaan mission by venerating ‘Shiv Shakti’. However, the Opposition is now discussing demolishing ‘Shakti’.

“Every woman is a form of Shakti for me. I worship them as the embodiment of Shakti,” he said, accusing the Opposition of threatening to finish off ‘Shakti’ in their manifesto.

PM Modi further vowed to sacrifice his life for the safety of women if necessary. He also predicted a massive victory for the BJP-led NDA, saying over 400 seats would be won on June 4th, 2024, when election results are declared.

With polls slated for early 2024, the political discourse is set to become more vocal in the coming months. The PM has launched a veiled attack on the Opposition ahead of the big battle to retain power at the Centre.
