PM Modi to open 3 new sections of Kolkata Metro next week

The metropolitan area of Kolkata will improve the facilities of the public transport network by the opening of three new metro train sections, which are a part of the expanded Kolkata Metro next week.

Trips by the Metros connecting Howrah Maidan to Esplanade, Salt Lake Sector V to Bidhannagar, and Garia to the Airport are now going to be available for the public, and they are likely to smooth out the connectivity of these areas.

Travel journeys on these operations are likely to reduce largely as these operations commence. Now in the last phase of trial and setup, officials confirm this venture will soon be ready to welcome locals.

Metro’s weight in cities‚Äô jam will be greatly reduced as this app kicks off the emancipation. Crores of people either commute on or travel by it daily. It is therefore the time the service line is enhanced; so as to unclog jams during rush hour.

Another factor that contributes to attractiveness of the Metro is that it now enables various connecting modus of conveyance of last-mile linked with feeder services and multi-modal stations. Making sure a pleasant passenger travel will be provided is also paramount, taking into account that riders are expected to increase in number.

Thanks to the faster train network becoming an important factor in people’s decision to choose their candidates for their elected offices, the center, and the state prefer to work closely with the city authority to build new metros in the city. The couple of days back inauguration of phase-I of metro projects has the brightest prospects to add fuel to the fire on the revolution of public transport in Kolkata.
