PM Modi urges NDA MPs to follow parliament rules, develop expertise

During the MPs’ meeting with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi underlined the need to follow the parliamentary protocols and master the civic issues pertaining to the constituencies represented by the parliament members.

Speaking at the meeting, PM Modi said that the Opposition is unhappy with him as he is the first non-Congress premier to win the Indian general election for three terms. He encouraged the MPs to ensure that, in case they have something to state in front of the media cameras, they have all the information and knowledge on the issue being prosecuted in front of the cameras.

The panic-stricken Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that PM Modi indicated to the MPs and asked them to visit the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, the journey from Pt. From the first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, to the present one, Narendra Modi, it has shown all of them without taking any political side. This prompted the Prime Minister to explain to the country that every Prime Minister contributes to the nation.

Rijiju further said that PM Modi particularly underlined that all MPs belong to different political parties but work for the country. He used an opportunity to call on the NDA MPs to begin working hard for the country without violating the rules of the Parliament.

With regard to the behavior of the MPs within the Parliament, the Prime Minister suggested that they articulate complex matters in their constituencies and, at the same time, practice and gain mastery of other important areas of concern like water, environment, and social welfare.

Rijiju said this guidance from the Prime Minister is a good pep talk not only for all the MPs but particularly for first-termers in the Parliament.

The Parliamentary Affairs Minister also noted the recent events in the lower house where Congress leader Rahul Gandhi delivered his speech and said that the NDA MPs should not be driven to act like the Leader of the Opposition. He added that communication is for all when the Prime Minister speaks.

It throws light on various issues that are being discussed in the Parliament now. During this session, the Opposition raised its voice on various issues, including Rahul Gandhi’s Statement on the Hindu Community.
